Interests

I had a medical issue in late May that sidelined me for awhile. Let me just say, that I’m glad to be here and leave it at that. Interests will be coming asap! Thanks for your patience.

Let me tell you as we start this blog, that my interests were, guitars, cigars & Texas. For right now, cigars are out, but guitars and Texas are still at the forefront.

I am not originally from Texas, that is what allows be to brag on it. I think you have to have another perspective or two to understand how good it is there. The diversity of cultures, the helpfulness, and the friendliness of the people makes it a sweet place to be. And, being in the center of the country (horizontally speaking), going to the left or right coasts in the US is a pretty quick trip. And the Gulf of Mexico and it’s turquoise waters is right there.

Guitars are something I came to later in life. But my acoustic guitars, Waterloo and National. My electrics, Les Paul and Fender Strats allow me to practice most anything I’m interested in. Mostly the early blues, contemporary blues, and some alternative songs. My goal is to learn to play “finger-style”. Wish me luck.

So, what is it that you like about Texas, or guitars?

You don’t know, if ya don’t try. I’m fix’in to have a good time. If it interests me, then it will probably make it on this blog. I love cooking and I also like Texas, guitars, music, and the occasional cigar. So, hop in the truck, and we’ll see what we can come up with.
